Family members of a 3-year-old Egyptian boy who was sentenced last week to life in prison say they feel relieved after receiving assurances from officials that neither the boy nor his father will be arrested.
上週被判終身監禁的3歲埃及男童的家屬表示，在接獲官員保證男童與其父都不會被捕後，感到鬆了一口氣。
The boy’s father, Mansour Qorany Sharara, has returned to the family home after nearly 18 months on the run. He had been avoiding authorities who had previously detained him when they came to arrest his young son.
男童之父夏拉拉在逃亡近18個月後已返家。他逃避之前上門要逮捕其幼子，而將他關押的當局人員。
In a surreal verdict, a military court found the boy, Ahmed Mansour Qorany Sharara, and 115 other people guilty of killing three people and sabotaging public and private property during a political demonstration in January 2014. Ahmed was 16 months old at the time of the alleged crime.
在荒誕的判決中，軍事法庭判處這位名叫阿邁德的男童，與其他115人在2014年1月的一場政治示威中，殺害3人及破壞公、私有資產有罪。阿邁德在所謂犯罪當時僅16個月大。
The guilty verdict, handed down February 16, provoked an uproar. "How could people trust justice if they see this?" TV presenter Wael Elebrashy asked as he interviewed the boy’s father. Ahmed was sleeping as his father held him during the interview. Sharara began to cry, pleading for help. He said he was worried his son would be imprisoned.
這起在2月16日宣判的有罪判決引發譁然。「看到這一幕的人們要如何相信司法？」電視節目主持人艾勒布拉許在訪問男童父親時如此問道。在訪談中，被父親抱著的阿邁德睡著了。夏拉拉開始痛哭，懇求協助，他說他擔心兒子將被關押。
Sharara had already suffered a great deal because of the charges against his son. When the police first came to arrest Ahmed in early 2014 and realized he was a toddler, they took his father into custody instead. Sharara was detained for four months before a judge released him.
這些對他兒子的控訴，已讓夏拉拉飽受煎熬。2014年初期，警方首度上門逮捕阿邁德，結果發現他只是一個娃兒，他們改而拘捕其父。夏拉拉被關押4個月後，才被法官釋放。
