When internationally renowned singer Kyu Sakamoto died in a JAL crash 30 years ago, he left behind a trove of beloved songs and a cache of Yamanashi wines that he never got to enjoy.
當舉世聞名的歌手坂本九30年前死於一場日本航空公司（JAL）空難時，他留下許多膾炙人口的歌曲，與擺滿一整個儲藏室、他無緣享用的山梨葡萄酒。
The unopened 98 bottles of wine stashed in his wine cellar in Koshu, Yamanashi Prefecture, remain a cherished family treasure.
這98瓶未開封、儲存於山梨縣甲州市酒窖內的葡萄酒，迄今仍是備受珍視的家族珍寶。
His wife, Yukiko Kashiwagi, and their two daughters--Hanako Oshima, a 41-year-old singer, and Yukiko Maisaka, a 38-year-old actress--say the wine reminds them so much of the family’s happy times together that they couldn’t bring themselves to open any, except on special occasions.
他的妻子柏木由紀子與2個女兒──41歲的歌手大島花子與38歲的女演員舞坂雪子說，這些酒讓她們想起過去許多闔家團聚的歡樂時光，讓她們除非遇到特殊場合，否則無法打開任何一瓶酒。
Sakamoto shot to fame in the United States in 1963 when his “Ue o Muite Aruko” (I’ll walk looking up at the sky), released overseas as "Sukiyaki," reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts. It is the only Japanese-language song to date to reach No. 1 on the chart.
坂本在1963年以「昂首向前走」一曲在美國爆紅，這首歌在海外以「壽喜燒」之名發行，曾躍居「告示牌百大熱門金曲排行榜」冠軍，是迄今唯一一首拿下該排行榜冠軍的日文歌。
