Barack Obama already is a fairly common name given to babies in Kenya — especially in Obama’s ancestral village of Kogelo — so two mothers inspired by his recent trip to the country have decided to go a different route.
在肯亞，巴拉克．歐巴馬已是相當常見的寶寶名字，特別是在歐巴馬的祖居地柯基洛，所以兩名因為歐巴馬最近來訪而靈機一動的女子，決定走個不一樣的路線。
They’re naming their babies after the president’s plane, Air Force One.
她們以這位總統的座機「空軍一號」幫孩子命名。
After giving birth to baby boys on Friday night, the two moved to pay tribute to Obama, who touched down in Kenya on the same day.
週五晚間生下男嬰後，兩人向同日抵達肯亞的歐巴馬致敬。
"I have decided to call my baby AirForceOne Barack Obama so that we can all remember Obama’s visit to Kenya because it is a huge blessing," said Lucy Akinyi Okoth.
一名媽媽歐寇絲說：「我決定把我的寶寶取名為空軍一號歐巴馬，這樣我們就能記得歐巴馬來肯亞訪問過，因為這是很大的福氣。」
Another mother opted to simply name her son AirForce One. "I have been told that it is the best aeroplane because it carries a very powerful leader of America who is also a Kenyan," Lucy Atieno said.
另一名媽媽雅地安諾則只為兒子取名為空軍一號。她說：「大家一直跟我說，這是最棒的飛機，因為它載的是美國一位非常有權力的領袖，他也是肯亞人。」
