Islamist groups in Zanzibar are worried by what they see as increasingly inappropriate behaviour by Western tourists, saying their actions offend the Indian Ocean islands' conservative Muslim culture.
對於那些被他們視為愈來愈不妥當的西方觀光客的行為感到憂心的尚吉巴虔誠回教徒團體表示，他們（西方觀光客）的行動冒犯這些印度洋島嶼的保守回教文化。
The organisations are also concerned about the spread of bars on the islands off mainland Tanzania, whose beaches and coral reefs make it a haven for honeymooners.
回教團體同時也很擔心這些島上遍佈的酒吧。這些位於非洲大陸坦尚尼亞外海的島嶼，憑藉著海灘與珊瑚礁而成為蜜月新人的憩息處。
“Tourists should not indulge in sex acts or kiss openly, this is not something that people can accept,” Farid Hadi, chairman of the Zanzibar Imams' Association , said yesterday.
「觀光客不應該縱情於性舉措或公開親吻，這是民眾無法接受的事情，」尚吉巴的回教教長協會主席法瑞德‧海迪昨日指出。
Tourism is the second biggest foreign exchange earner for Zanzibar, but is expected to increase in importance because of the collapse of the islands' clove export trade due to a fall in prices caused by global oversupply.
觀光是尚吉巴第二大外匯來源，預料隨著這些島嶼的丁香出口貿易因全球供過於求導致價格下跌而崩盤後，觀光的重要性將日益重要。

Zanzibar：尚吉巴，位於非洲大陸東岸、印度洋上的島嶼，一九六四年獨立，與位於非洲大陸上、稍早脫離英國統治獨立的Tanganyika合併為Tanzania（坦尚尼亞）。

offend：動詞，冒犯，違反。名詞為offense。例句：You will offend a lot of people if you misuse words when making a speech.（演講時用錯字會冒犯很多人。）
honeymooners：名詞，蜜月新人。honeymoon為蜜月，加er就是度蜜月的人。此字通常會加s，因為蜜月新人至少有兩個人。
foreign exchange：國外匯兌，匯兌，又稱foreign exchange futures，國外匯兌有動態與靜態兩種意義，其中靜態意義又稱外匯。
