While boosting tourism is usually part of the job description for a local politician, the mayor of one Tokyo district is taking a different tack: He’s pulling up the welcome mat.
雖說促進觀光通常是地方首長的職責之一，但（日本）東京的一個區的區長卻採取不同策略：他謝絕來客到訪。
"This year we’re making it clear to the world that Shibuya is not a venue for Halloween events," Ken Hasebe, the mayor of one of the city’s most well-known and bustling wards, told reporters this month at the Foreign Correspondents Club of Japan. "Please do not come to the Shibuya station area for Halloween."
「我們今年要跟世界說清楚，澀谷不是（舉辦）萬聖節活動的場地，」東京市最著名與繁華的區域之一（澀谷區）的區長長谷部健本月在日本外國特派員協會如此告訴記者。「請勿到澀谷車站一帶過萬聖節。」
Shibuya ward is going to unprecedented lengths to dissuade visitors in the days leading up to October 31. In addition to the "Don’t visit" campaign, public drinking in the area will be banned starting days before Halloween.
澀谷區在10月31日（萬聖節當天）之前的數日採取前所未見的措施勸阻遊客前往。除了「麥來」運動，該區從萬聖節之前的幾天起就禁止公開飲酒。
