Wealthy people don’t tend to spend their cash on smartphone apps -- and steer clear of games and other ’time sinks’ such as Twitter.
有錢人往往不會把錢花在智慧手機應用程式上，而且不玩遊戲或「推特」等其他「花時間」的應用程式。
A study of 603 smartphone users who earned an annual income of ￡94000 or more, found that they spent less time on ’entertainment’ apps, and more on news, finance and travel.
一份調查研究603名年收入逾9萬4000英鎊的智慧手機用戶，發現他們花在「娛樂性」應用程式的時間比較少，花在新聞、金融和旅遊類應用程式的時間較多。
Even wealthy users were not immune to Angry Birds and Facebook, but overall wealthier users tended to use their phones mainly for practical purposes.

Among the general population, ’entertainment’ apps such as social networking and games are by far the most popular category.

’As you get older and have family and significant others, aging parents, and a lot more assets and investments, you’re going to need apps for far more relevant things than playing games and chatting with your peers,’ said Milton Pedraza, CEO of The Luxury Institute.

The findings are in contrast to smartphone usage as a whole, which research firm Nielsen showed is dominated by games and social networking categories.
