〔記者游蓓茹／台北報導〕遠雄巨蛋工程旁、松菸內的「紅點設計博物館」不滿館內漏水、溢漿喊撤，紅點總裁今天早上發出八點聲明，表示台北紅點設計博物館的空間狀況，遠差於紅點在其他世界各地使用的展覽空間。這在台北市舉辦世界設計之都的前夕，特別引人注目。紅點對負責場地協商的代表持開放態度，強調「若台北有紅點的容身之處，我們將很樂意留在這座美麗的城市。」
北市文化局今早10點將召集文資委員、媒體到現場勘察。
紅點設計大獎總裁彼得．賽克具名發出聲明表示，一直以來，紅點的業務不斷成長進步。在未來，除了現有的三座紅點設計博物館外，有可能會設立更多的分館。然而，台北紅點設計博物館的存在，和紅點與其他新分館合作夥伴的洽談，沒有任何關係。
紅點也說，每當成立一座新分館，都是一個獨立的決定。當然，在每一個地方，紅點都需要最好的場地條件，支撐經常變化的展覽，展出獲獎的當代設計。

【聲明稿 Statement】

“The business units of Red Dot are in constant progress. It is likely that we will establish more than the existing three Red Dot Design Museums in the future. However, there is no link between the existence of the Red Dot Design Museum Taipei and our talks with partners about new subsidiaries. A decision regarding a new Red Dot Design Museum is independent from our branch in Taipei. Of course, in every place we need the best possible conditions to present modern award-winning objects in frequently changing exhibitions. At the moment, the situation of the Red Dot Design Museum Taipei is by far worse than in any other of our exhibition spaces worldwide. This is especially remarkable in the prelude of Taipei being World Design Capital. We are open to suggestions from and negotiations with the representatives in charge. If there’s a perspective for Red Dot in Taipei, we will be glad to stay in this wonderful city.”
