Taiwanese cyclists won two gold, two silver and six bronze medals at the Asian Track Cycling Championships, which ended on Monday in Nilai, Malaysia.

Chang Chih-sheng and Huang Ting-ying won three medals in the main races, helping their chances of securing a slot at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, to be held from Sept. 23 to Oct. 8.

Chang finished second in the men’s points race, while Huang claimed bronzes in the women’s elimination race and omnium, UCI’s Web site showed.

Younger Taiwanese netted the other seven medals in the junior category, which does not affect positioning for the Asian Games.

Zhang En-teng was the biggest winner among the juniors, claiming gold, silver and bronze in the men’s scratch race, individual pursuit and omnium respectively.

Lee Chai-roug won gold in the women’s junior individual pursuit and bronze in the women’s junior elimination race.

She also won a bronze in the women’s junior team sprint with Lin Jhih-yan and Li Ya-xun, and another bronze in the women’s junior team pursuit with Li, Yang Ting-yu and Chen Chieh-ling.
