President Tsai Ing-wen, left, yesterday in Taipei smiles as she hands Doris Brougham, center, a copy of her Republic of China (ROC) passport and congratulates her on becoming an ROC citizen, as well as for her lifelong dedication to Taiwan. Brougham, better known by her Chinese name, Peng Meng-hui, came to Taiwan in 1951 as a missionary and is now known for teaching English through her English-language magazine Studio Classroom.
