Lee Shin-ja, a former CEO of Media Port, was indicted for cyber fraud. According to JoongAng Daily, Lee Shin-ja has been charged with distributing bogus anti-virus software to over a million internet users.
Media Port公司前執行長李信子（譯音）被依網路詐欺罪名起訴。據（南韓）中央日報報導，李信子被控散佈假防毒軟體給100多萬名網路用戶。
Lee Shin-ja is said to have earned over 9.2 billion won （approximately US $9.8 million） since 2005 with a free anti-Spyware program that displayed fake warnings and directing users to purchase Media Port’s Doctor Virus clean-up solution costing 3850 won （$4.10） a month.
李信子據稱自2005年來已獲利逾92億韓元（約980萬美元），她利用一個免費的防毒程式來顯示假警訊，並引導用戶購買Media Port公司每月收費3850韓元（4.1美元）的 Doctor Virus掃毒解決方案。
Prosecutors say, Lee asked two company computer programmers to develop a free Spyware detector, a seemingly harmless gesture. However, the program was designed to give a false on-screen alarm to users by labeling clean files as infected. Topping off the scam, if a user wanted to clean their system all they had to do was download Media Port software.
檢方說，李某要求2名公司的電腦程式設計師開發一套免費的間諜軟體偵測器，此舉似乎無害。然而，該程式的設計卻會把乾淨檔案標示為遭感染，螢幕上會向用戶傳達假的警訊。此一騙局的最後一步是，用戶若想清理他們的（電腦）系統，就只能去下載Media Port的軟體。
Some users said they paid a one-time fee to download the virus vaccine, but the company continued charging them a monthly subscription fee.
一些用戶表示，他們一次付清下載解毒疫苗的費用，但該公司還向他們收取每月訂購費。
